TAYLOR + PETER AT KATHLEEN’S GARDEN

August 19, 2021

Oh this is a very bitter sweet post for me… Sweet because Peter and Taylor were just the cutest couple and super SWEET! Bitter because this was my last wedding at Kathleen’s Garden. I literally held back tears all day ? But I will say that at least we went out with a bang!! Peter’s and Taylor’s day was beautiful, and they were a joy to work with!

Some of my favorite moments of the day were… 1. When Marci (one of Kathleens Garden’s coordinators) had to sew on Peter’s buttons because he forgot the clip in studs at home ? HA! She saved the day!! At one point they had hundreds of buttons scattered all over the table looking for ones to match his shirt. Amazing! 2. Peter and Taylor’s first touch was super emotional, and as you know that’s always GREAT for me as the photographer ? I love me some cryin! It was really neat as well to hear the letters they read to each other. I don’t hear everything, but at times I can catch things like the time they first met, or what kinds of things they love about each other ? 3. Petey (their dog) was a dapper lil fella! Though he didn’t have much to do with me until the end of the day, I always enjoy having dogs around especially when they cooperate with me for pictures! YAY! 4. At Kathleen’s Garden, they had a whiskey and cigar bar area, and most weddings I would only see a few people out there, but at this wedding, it was poppin! The cigar roller was a hit, thanks to Cigar Productions. The cigars and matches were even specialized with their names and wedding date. 5. Peter and Taylor had a LIVE PAINTER!! This was super cool!! I think everyone should do this because it’s amazing, and such a great keepsake for years to come. When Event Painting by Jamie shows up, it’s a blank canvas, and by the end of the night there’s a beautiful piece of art. My mind was blown! 6. Lastly, the best part of the day was seeing Peter and his friends take over the band’s instruments, and do a lil sing along. They took over the keyboard, drums, guitars, and microphones! It was great ? The whole crowd got really into it, and I know that will be a moment to remember forever!

Congrats Peter & Taylor! We wish you many years of happiness!!
